What do you know...

she can smile.

And looking at these pictures make me smile right back. When I showed her them, she agreed that she looked very pretty. Pretty indeed.

What a beautiful girl! I am so glad to see her smile. I can't get it out of my head how much she reminds me for my cousin who was adopted last year. It's amazing.

what a gorgeous girl you've got!

continuing to pray for all of you, especially for Anastasia & Paul as well as you & John as you help your newest son & daughter adjust to a whole new country, language, culture, and way of life in addition to their new forever family.

i've followed your story since right after Rachel came home - probably 2 or 3 months after she was placed in your house. so i've followed your adoption journeys before, but it's different with these kids because they're so much older. it's a completely new dynamic! praying all goes as well as possible...

Every child longs for the love of a father. Anastasia is blessed to have a dad like John, and I do believe almost every little girl has some type of "crush" on her daddy.

Children's children are the crown of old men, And the glory of children is their father. Prov. 17:6

I had to smile looking at the pictures too. She's going to be okay.

She's beautiful! So glad she's finally smiling! The inner beauty that you have always known is beginning to show! See what love can do?

Little girls are supposed to have "crushes" on their fathers. If they have good fathers, like John, they learn to pick good men for themselves. Those girls usually grow up to be confident that they are worthy of being loved and cherished by a trusted partner. Thrilled for all of you.

What a glorious smile!!! You may have missed many typical "firsts", but being able to witness things like her first smile on the scooter with dad is a first that few have the joy of experiencing.

So happy things are going so well!

God Bless,
Kathie
