Our SDA Appointment

I went to bed after midnight last night and slept through the night. I think we are all on Ukraine time more or less. We got up around 7 am and took our time getting ready for our appointment at 9 am. One of our facilitators was waiting for us when we walked into the fresh morning air at 8:30. Once we got to the SDA, we waited a bit until the Dove family joined us. We were both escorted into our meeting rooms at the same time-- first us because our room was behind their room. Our meeting went great. We brought tons of pictures and everyone remembered us--so the meeting was light and friendly. Anastasia and Paul are both younger than we thought---- 9 and 11 with birthdays close to our other kids. We saw pictures of them when they were younger--- such cuties. I think they resemble us Reeds too!

We asked for a same day referral but due to new changes they can't give it to us until tomorrow.

Until then we are going to hang out around here and hopefully meet up with the Doves and the Urbans for lunch.

Then tomorrow after we pick up our referrals we will head out on a train to.....

Ooo, can't wait to hear where they are! Glad it went well!

Charissa Urban doesn't know me, but I know her parents, who are missionaries. They influenced my family to have a bigger heart for people all over the world... part of the reason I went to a Bible college and then on missions trips, including 2 to Ukraine. And THAT certainly influenced our decision to adopt from there!

We just realized you were adopting again when we saw your RR post! That is great! We are waiting for our travel date to adopt our Lacie (we were there last year adopting Sean) so it is neat to see you doing everything just ahead of us. Hopefully we'll be there soon!
You havea precious family. Looking forward to following your journey!

How exciting. Been there - done that, and loved it. I've eaten in that TGIFriday's, too. We also ate in O'Brien's at 17a Mykhailivska, a couple blocks from Independence Square. I hope to tag along on your adventure.

Grandpa says he'll take 1 package of saffron (no joke) Wow! he's really becoming quite the chef.
Everything is going well at the homefront. Last night, Dom, William, Anna and Annalyn joined Andrew and John here for dinner and some swimming. We took Jonny and Andrew and checked in with Baboonya tonight. We had a great time at dinner with her and Adam, Julia, Sveta, Alex and Dennis. Everything is under control there, too. Of course, Mom, Dad, Caleb and Rachel are missed and all look forward to your speedy return. G-Ma
